Lamination, plastification and special papers

Do you want to add protection, quality and resistance to your printing products? Discover our solutions!

Classic paper can quickly get damaged, stained, ripped… However, there are finishes that can add quality to your printouts while at the same time protecting them. Here are some ideas to never worry about life’s little accidents again on your printed documents!

The tear-proof synthetic paper

Synaps tear-proof paper is made of polyester. It is resistant to water, grease and some solvents. There are thin versions as well as more rigid versions. This material can be printed in offset or digital and does not require any paper lamination.

Application and use

In the hospitality industry: This paper can be twisted or soaked in a glass of water and it will always keep its basic appearance. To clean it all you have to do is wipe it with a sponge. Synaps paper is ideal for your menus, placemats or business cards.

In hospitals: To avoid contamination, you can print on smooth, synthetic paper that is easy to clean (hydroalcoholic gel and bleach test).

Baths, spas and beauty institutes: This material is perfect for humid environment where your hands are greasy for the use of creams, massage oils…

Construction sites, garages: This smooth paper does not get dusty and does not wrinkle in action. It can be used outdoors without any problems.

Other options:

  • Laminated paper

Lamination can be done on any type of paper. It is often used to protect business cards or cardboard sleeves. There are different types, such as matt, glossy or “soft touch” lamination, which gives the paper a soft and pleasant feel. Lamination protects the paper from moisture, UV rays (which cause the paper to turn yellow), creases (to prevent the print from cracking) or scratches. Lamination can be done on one or both sides of the document, depending on the customer’s preference.

  • Encapsulated paper

If you want a material which is even more resistant than lamination, you can go for encapsulation. However, your documents will be more rigid, but it will be impossible to destroy them unless you cut them with scissors!

The encapsulation is done with a plastic film, more or less thick, depending on the finish we want and it has to be done on both sides of the document.

As well as the synthetic paper, once it’s encapsulated, the paper is waterproof and cannot be twisted or torn!I t’s easy to clean with a sponge.

Encapsulation is an more economical solution to make your menus and placemats more resistant.

  • Anti-fingerprint cardboard paper

Curious Skin paper is indeed very curious! Its presentation is different from other traditional papers. It is extremely soft to the touch, with a matte appearance that leaves no fingerprints and is resistant to rubbing. It is available in 15 different colours and thicknesses from 135g to 380g!
